• Responsible for feature development in SAN Switching (Fabric channel)
• Redesigned DDAS (Distributed Device-alias Services - Cisco proprietary feature)
• Was involved from design till the delivery of the new design of the feature
• Modified DDAS data distribution algorithm to resolve a major zoning issue
• Scaled to support 20K DDAS entries from 12K
• Involved in development of VMIS (Virtual Machine Identification Server)
• VMIS is used to identify data traffic from individual VM in the fabric, which will be useful in data traffic analysis in the fabric
• New FC standard Protocol to be delivered in Nov 2016
• This required coordinating with HBA team from Broadcom to design and implement the protocol
• Involved in debugging IVR (Inter VSAN Routing Protocol),Cisco propriety licensed feature
• This feature enables end devices to communicate across different VSAN
• Resolved and Front ended multiple time critical customer issues.
• Developed 2 tools, power saving and debugging tool in 2 hackathon events in cisco
• Power saving tool: This tool turns off the switches or specific modules in the switch depending upon the login, inactivity time, etc.
• Debugging tool: This data extracts useful data from accounting, debugging logs and tech supports from multiple switches in the fabric and represents in an effective manner, useful for debugging
• Received two Cisco Connected Recognition Awards from my manager
