I did a couple of contracts recruiting for two very different start-ups: The first was Baliston, a Company bringing advanced biomechanical technology to footwear, while keeping it sustainable (www.baliston.com). The second was SiFive, a pioneer in RISC-V processors that are scalable and power efficient. While at Amazon, I recruited top applied research leaders focused on generative machine learning, computer vision, and speech recognition/natural language processing globally for over eight years. I successfully hired candidates for various innovation projects, such as Astro, a home robot that can recognize faces, voices, and emotions, and help with daily tasks. Special projects are my jam: I was one of the first recruiters working on hiring and building Alexa. My core competencies include sourcing, engaging, and closing high-caliber science professionals and leaders, aligning teams and building mechanisms to prepare them to staff, negotiating compensation and closing offers, branding and mentoring fellow team members.
