• First feet on the ground in Middle East - managing our UAE/KSA/Bahrain presence.
• Having joined Datadog in 2018, I've been fortunate enough to have handled our Middle East end of the business from day one.
• I began in a small basement office in Dublin alongside around 15 people. Since then, I've seen Datadog grow out of those small shoes, and witness our EMEA team relocate to our state of the art office space in the Silicon Valley of Ireland, The Dublin Docklands, and grow to around 200 people across engineering, sales, marketing, finance etc. With over 2,000 colleagues in 15+ offices around the globe.

• The primary objective of the 35,000 word 1st Class Honours Research Project completed on behalf of Bord Bia (Irish Food Board) and Maynooth University was to critically analyze the commercial potential of two food science publications and establish a framework which links the science with both current consumer trends and business opportunities alike. Both publications related to health and wellness, and the findings of the research would suggest that this is a rapidly growing industry where traction and significant potential was recognized for both publications. With over 10,000 people dying annually in Ireland from cardiovascular related diseases, consumers are becoming increasingly aware and educated on the adverse implications associated with unhealthy dieting.
• The results from over 2,500 survey respondents, 10 interviewees and 16 food expert focus group participants were recorded and analyzed, facilitating the development of the findings and recommendations outlined in the paper. The European ready meal market is worth in excess of $30 million with health focused meals accounting for a significant proportion of this. Moreover - the Irish dairy industry is estimated to experience an increase in output of over €700 million over the next 5 years. The paper aims to highlight some key recommendations for food producers in achieving the development of these concepts into commercial products. These recommendations cover a broad range of relevant factors from packaging, pricing, creation of awareness, funding to marketing. Overall the research provides an insight into the potential of the two concepts in realizing commercial worth and facilitating a framework which highlights the most effective means of achieving commercialization.
