• Developed, tested and oversaw the deployment and integration of CALEA features for Lawful Interception on the Public IP network. Served as the technical team lead and vendor technical manager for the deployment and integration of LI mediation platforms nationwide. This solution was delivered on a highly compressed time schedule and was operational and ready to function as designed in compliance with the federally mandated ready date.
• Led team developing architecture and guidelines for deploying OC-768 IP Circuits as well as interoperability testing for OC-768 POS to Ultra-Long-Haul transmission equipment. Successfully transitioned multi-link OC-192c links to single OC-768c links over ULH systems for both Public and Private IP networks.
• Led the testing of 10GigE-LAN with Ethernet OAM over ULH systems. This shift from OC-192c POS to 10GigE-LAN produced a 60% reduction in cost of router interfaces and contributed to an overall reduction in the cost of the Public IP network infrastructure.
• Conducted a reliability study for AS701 to determine the feasibility of replacing 1+1 protected SONET circuits with 1+0 unprotected ULH OTN circuits with MPLS fast-reroute and the subsequent effect on overall network reliability/SLA impact. This effort resulted in a near 50% reduction in network circuit cost with no impact to customers or SLA.
• Spearheaded effort to rationalize synchronous timing architecture to provide Stratum 1 timing to IP routing equipment network wide.
