• Outages of mere seconds of the DB systems results in millions of dollars in lost revenue for customers.
• Built the next generation Stripe DB management systems that enabled Stripe's DB infra to scale by several orders of magnitude. These new systems allowed Stripe to hyper scale in the face of extreme growth from Covid.
• Improved reliability from 99.9 to 99.999. Reduced operational burden by several orders of magnitude.
• Scaled DB org from 25 to 120HCs.
• Received the CEO award for outstanding contributions to Stripe.

In public cloud, achieved a 10x yearly increase in monthly active users and revenue while growing the team from 40 to 250 via strong strategic product vision, acquisitions (coding.net), and partnerships (WeChat, serverless.com, Siemens). In private cloud, closed key tentpole customers such as the Bank of China, China Customs, and PICC (largest insurance provider in China) with 8 figure contracts.

• Architecting applications and services at Netflix scale. Currently leading the FaaS/Serverless platform at Netflix, which powers the next-generation Netflix API. This platform processes and orchestrates all requests from Netflix clients to backend systems — leveraging new technology such as Docker, Node.js, and Amazon ECS. This effort is a significant cross-functional project which involves orchestration between many teams and stakeholders. Core technologies used in this stack include AWS, Docker, Node.js, gRPC, ReactiveSocket, RXNetty, and Falcor.
