I'm VP, Learning Experience at upGrad, where, over nine years and six promotions, I've helped scale the company from an early-stage online education startup to one of Asia's largest higher-education platforms. I lead a 100+ person team (200+ at peak) across product strategy, learning experience, and production. Together we've shipped 20,000+ hours of content at 4.5★ learner satisfaction, across 45+ programmes built with 25+ university and enterprise partners, including IIT Kharagpur, IIITB, IIM Kozhikode, Microsoft, Cambridge, Deakin, Liverpool Business School, Golden Gate, Purdue, Emory, Maryland, and the University of Waterloo. A few things I've built that I'm proud of: – India's largest paid AI programme, in partnership with Microsoft. 100,000+ paid enrolments in 90 days, 150,000+ within six months. – India's first articulation MBA, built with IMT Ghaziabad and Liverpool Business School. The highest-selling global MBA in India at the time, with 20,000+ alumni. – India's first online doctorate (DBA), a category we created from zero and grew into a full doctoral portfolio. – IIT Kharagpur's first-ever online certificate programmes with upGrad. Two faculty-led AI programmes, with 1,000+ enrolments per quarter in the first two cohorts. – India's first dual-school CTO programme (IIITB + IIM Udaipur), the global AI-CTO programme with the University of Waterloo. Building the C-suite AI leadership category from zero. How I think about the work: I build for outcomes, not features. Every programme starts with deep market and learner research, gets validated against real job-market data, and ships on simple operating systems that scale. I've designed several frameworks that have become core to how upGrad operates, including the 8C Framework (portfolio rationalisation), the Globalisation Playbook (international expansion), and the Pi Specialisation model (dual-track curriculum design). What I'm focused on right now: Architecting AI-native learning at scale. Programmes, curriculum, and operating tools that take genuine advantage of what AI is becoming, rather than retrofitting it onto traditional formats.
