Prof Dr Prashant Salwan is Professor of Strategic management at Indian Institute of Management Indore India. He is an alumnus of London School of Economics and Political Science UK and a British Chevening Scholar and a Fulbright Scholar. He has approximately twenty-eight years of experience, out of which twenty years in academics and eight years in industry. He has PhD (Technology management and Strategy) two post graduate degrees. He has been educated and trained at University of Pune, London School of Economics and Political Science, UK , Harvard Business School, Uni of Michigan, Ross School of Management, IIM B and IIMC. He has also undergone training in leadership for higher education institutes in University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. Prof Salwan has provided customized training and consulting to Government of India, State governments , International Institutions like World Bank, Multinationals including numerous Fortune global one thousand ranked companies . He was the lead researcher for the Indian Competitiveness project Government of India . He is a World bank consultant and was lead consultant for the autonomy and strategic planning project . He is also a consultant for UNDP, ADB, MOE /MHRD, MP Government, Kerala Govt , Gujrat Govt etc. Dr Salwan was Chairman of a research center titled “Center for Indian Multinationals Education and Research” . CIMER . 6th Annual Academy of International Business – India Chapter and CIMER International Conference on Globalization and Emerging Economies was successfully conducted. The research center was self-sustainable and had generated its own funds. Dr Salwan has numerous research publications including in top ranked journals like Harvard Business Review, Journal of International Management , Journal of Knowledge management Defense Science Journal. He has published 48 case studies, including in Harvard Business School Publishing, Ivey, ECCH. Till date Dr Prashant Salwan has co-authored four textbooks in the area of International business, International Marketing, Takeovers, Restructuring and Corporate Governance Mergers and Acquisitions, Strategic Management and one research book “Best business practices for global competitiveness. Dr Salwan also writes for newspapers like business standard , Times of India .He has won numerous teaching and research awards including the best teacher award at IIM I. He is Board member in Government Public sector , member AC of NAAC as well as member in many AICTE, UGC , IIM's high power committees. He also served as Dean (Program) at IIM Indore.
