• As a Product Manager at 18F, I worked with cross functional teams of engineers and designers to help government agencies build modern secure technology designed alongside users, and transform their procurement practices to align more closely with modern software development best practices. I led one of the largest 18F projects, working with DoD and OPM to rebuild the National Background Investigation System using modern design and product principles. In addition, as a Team Lead, I led a team of amazing people working on a variety of projects for our federal agency partners, providing support and collaboration and working on business strategy, business development, hiring, and communications.

• I helped outline strategy and policy for all Surface Warfare programs, including shipbuilding, weapons systems, and ballistic missile defense (BMD). I wrote briefs, speeches, and articles for Surface Warfare presentations internal to the community, across communities, to Congress, and to the public. I also wrote response letters to U.S. citizens and congressional representatives in response to queries directed to the Secretary of the Navy, Chief of Naval Operations, and the U.S. Navy Director of Surface Warfare.

• My division was responsible for the ship's self-defense weapons, including Close in Weapons System (CIWS) and Rolling Airframe Missile (RAM), and associated equipment. I led a division of 20 sailors responsible for defending the ship against any attack and ensuring a high level of tactical and strategic readiness at all times.

• Electrical Officer on USS PELELIU (LHA 5), leading a division of 30 personnel and responsible for all electrical equipment on the 40,000 ton, 30 year old warship.

• Leader of Amphibious Assault Control Team on USS PELELIU (LHA 5). Led 3 graded amphibious assault waves with 2 different types of craft to a perfect score and precision landings. Landed all craft on the beach within 1 second of expected time. Led PELELIU's team to best ever result at Amphibious Boat Control School.
• In charge of logistics and coordination of Amphibious Crafts on USS PELELIU. Coordinated load plans (loading equipment on crafts) and embarkation/debarkation for Landing Crafts and Landing Craft Air Cushions (LCACs) during Ship to Shore movements of personnel and equipment. Operational landings included landings in Kuwait and Jordan.
