About

I’m building the trading intelligence layer for grid-scale batteries. I’m CEO & co-founder of Carina Power, an EPFL spin-off developing aging-aware optimization for battery trading. Grid batteries are rapidly becoming core infrastructure for renewable energy systems. But trading strategies that maximize short-term profits can accelerate battery degradation and destroy long-term asset value. Carina Power solves this by integrating battery aging models directly into electricity market trading algorithms, enabling storage owners to maximize lifetime returns. Previously I worked at Expedia and Pictet Group. My academic background is in astrophysics. When not working on energy systems, I’m usually juggling three kids, improving my Japanese, or trying to get better at badminton.
