I am basically from Ujjain (M.P.), India and I came up from a small family. No one in my family ever had any interest in computers. Even me too didn't like it very much except playing games on it. But it was when I made a simple calculator using Visual Basic in 2006, I kind of got interested in this and the very same day I decided that I would be a software engineer. Ever since writing my first program and manipulating it to produce a desired output, I have been obsessed with the idea of using software to solve practical problems. I believe in the power of programming to transform and improve the lives of people around the world. I started my career as an Android developer with the B2B innovation team in Samsung Research Institute Noida. Here I worked on a variety of projects targeting multiple geographical regions. I got 2 patents filed during this time. Post this, I worked with CarDekho.com on their consumer app and majorly contributed to redesign the home screen and car details screen. I tried my hands on building a few games on Android. Some of my applications in playstore are Race to the top, My KPI Filler and MovieMania Hangman. I built the warehouse tech team in Grofers starting with only 2 people in the team in 2016. We created a warehouse management system from scratch that was capable of running offline. I worked closely with the IT team and we set up MPLS connections across our warehouses to increase the reliability of internet connection in the warehouses. Currently I am working with Grofers as an Engineering Manager and my primary responsibilities are to, 1. Work with Product team as a partner in getting business results delivered for the team's goals 2. Communicate technical concepts to business stakeholders as well as communicate business objectives to the technical team 3. Identify areas of strategic technical debt and provide cost/benefit analysis for eliminating this debt 4. Identify and clear roadblocks for the team 5. Currently I am managing a team of 14 people including 8 SDEs, 4 SDETs and 2 product solution engineers. Outside of work, I like to play my Xbox and go for long drives in my car.
