Professor Frédéric Cadet obtained his Ph.D. in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology at the University of Aix-Marseille, France (Ph.D. at CNRS & INA-PG) and his HDR in Multidimensional Data Analysis. After a two-year postdoc position in Organic Chemistry, he moved to Bioinformatics. Full Professor, he headed for a laboratory of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics for 15 years. Within the Bioinformatics/INSERM team at University Paris City and University of Reunion (Fr), his research focused on Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Quantum Computing applied to sequence-function relationships of proteins as well as cascade reactions design and metabolic engineering. A seasoned Executive: Prof. Cadet has held numerous executive positions, including Dean of the Faculty of Sciences, University President, and Executive Schools, Universities & Research Commissioner at the French national level, where he managed a budget of 1.3 billion Euros and 32,000 people.
