  • Platform Leadership & Scale: Co-led the team that built Multi Cluster Fleet Management for over 325 Kubernetes clusters and 2,500+ production services, defining the APIs for cluster and namespace lifecycle management and abstracting Kubernetes complexities for end developers.
  • Platform Abstraction & Developer Velocity: Co-led the IKS AIR application abstraction platform, which replaced complex Kubernetes manifests with an application-centric, OAM-inspired specification, shielding developers from version updates and platform changes. To enhance the developer experience on the abstracted platform, built necessary migration tooling and also built the Debuggability Paved Road leveraging Argo Workflows and Ephemeral Containers to provide one-click debugging features like thread dumps and debug shells.
  • Incident Detection & Observability: Architected and deployed a Traffic Observability tool to monitor the health of the API Gateway and service mesh and Kubernetes "Cluster Golden Signals" to monitor the health of the Kubernetes Fleet, resulting in a significant reduction in Mean Time to Detect and Resolve (MTTD/R) for platform and traffic incidents.
  • Complex Platform Migrations: Drove critical, large-scale migration efforts, including successfully transitioning the Container Runtime Interface from dockerd to containerd across the entire fleet with zero downtime and leading the deployment of Istio Ingress Gateway AutoScaling.
