About

Hey, I’m Immanuella (preferably Emem), a Computer Science student at Philander Smith University graduating in May 2026. I’m a software engineer who enjoys building things that actually work at scale and feel intuitive to use. I’ve had the chance to intern at Meta, ServiceNow, and Oracle, working across both backend and full-stack systems. At Oracle, I built a caching system for vector embedding models that cut processing time from nearly two hours down to under four minutes on large datasets. At ServiceNow, I worked on core platform features in Java, improving system efficiency and reliability. At Meta, I built a full-stack platform that helped students discover internships, including real-time messaging and personalized recommendations. I like working on problems that sit at the intersection of systems, data, and user experience whether that’s optimizing performance, designing clean APIs, or building interfaces people actually enjoy using. Outside of engineering, I care a lot about creating access. I love to help young people like my grow in the tech space. Right now, I’m focused on growing as a full-stack engineer and building systems that are not just scalable, but meaningful.
