ARMv8 crypto implementation on Qualcomm powered mobile processor, "Snapdragon"
Implemented cyptographic algorithms (AES) using ARMv8 instruction set to study the improvement in performance against the existing software implementation on Android. Linux kernel driver (v3.14) developed for ARMv8 based implementation was back-ported to linux kernel v3.10 running on Android. Direct functional improvement of 20x performance boost was observed over the generic SW and 10x performance boost over Qualcomm crypto engine.
