A locomotive bot was developed with I/O interface ports consisting of bluetooth and RF. The bot was created as an attempt to serve the blind for directions and obstacle detection. An android application was developed to communicate to the bot via bluetooth interface, while the RF control was used as a back-up. Google Voice recognition system was used in this project to recognize voice commands. The project was done at the Electronics Corporation Of India which was later used for several other studies and developments such as voting machines and billing machines for the blind.
