With tens of thousands of containers running on their 30+ clusters, the savings over running these apps in VMs are massive.
• Planned, developed and carried out an In-Place Version upgrade of their clusters with a strategy that guarantees all applications remain up without the need to provision any new infrastructure.

• Led the organization’s containerization effort by creating architecture for their SpringBoot Java Microservices to have out of the box application health checks, SSL encryption, and connections to ActiveMQ and JBoss DataGrid.
• Developed the code to utilize OpenShift’s auto-generated certificates and Init-Containers for SSL encryption, saving the organization the need to create hundreds of certificates for all of their applications.
• Designed and developed an overhaul of their CICD pipelines to run within OpenShift itself largely reducing their infrastructure footprint - Pipelines were fully automated with source code triggers and the ability to provision short-lived namespaces within OpenShift to build, deploy and test code changes in an isolated environment.

• Instructed and led multiple application teams on Microservice Architecture and how to break down Monolithic applications into SpringBoot, AngularJS and .NET apps in Docker containers on OpenShift
• Developed CICD pipelines for five application teams which automated many manual testing tasks, increasing developer productivity and code quality
