• My profile at IBM India Software Labs i.e ISL encompasses the field of Hybrid Cloud. We develop software and dashboards for cloud brokerage. Cloud brokerage field helps users to identify the best suited cloud for them among public, private and the feasibility for them to move on to a public cloud, if it benefits them.
• This also comprises aspects where the users can understand their Cost expenditure on cloud in various dimensions such as business units, geographic locations, different cloud providers to name a few.
• As part of my profile I have worked on following projects:
• Developed a Cost and Asset management dashboard. The UI has various graphs and tables to display the cost expenditure along different business units, cloud provider type, geographic location, VM state etc. Also budgets can be set to know when cost overshoots.
• Also developed an API Gateway which acts as a common points for various micro-services used by the UI. The API Gateway serves the feature of implementing access control as not all the APIs are exposed to every kind of user. It can also serve the purpose of api aggregation where multiple apis from different micro-services can be clubbed for a particular use-case.
• Also part of the API team which does the job of exposing rest endpoints which can be consumed by the UI.
• Overall the application works as follows. The data for this application is ingested into the database after relevant extraction and orchestration services are employed. So currently the end user, can export the cost expenditure data for various cloud providers which would converted into a common format. This common format acts as a input file to ingest the data. Once the database is populated the API micro-service provides the rest endpoints to the gateway which interacts with the UI to render the same.

• Developed an in-house push messaging service to cater to the needs of publishing and subscribing to messages across different systems. The push messaging service implements MQTT protocol which is a pub-sub architecture protocol and is meant for devices optimizing on battery power. Also, developed a java Daemon service which acts as request dispatch service to receive orders from the server side and then based on certain parameters assign to the best suited delivery executive on the field.
• Primary developer of an Android app which helps in making hyper local logistics easier. The app serves a common platform for different kinds of hyper local orders such as food, laundry to be monitored by the delivery executive. The app also does live tracking of the delivery executive and also helps him to maintain his availability status.
• Worked on developing and maintaining an iOS app. The app displays the list of available services in the form of hierarchical structure. Once the service type is chosen, the app searches for a nearby serviceman executive real-time and assigns him the job. The customer can then monitor the job status and payment info from the app. The app had also monitoring tools for measuring the installs, app events and sharing the app through various social media channels
• Worked on the backend to develop and maintain APIs required for the client side application in PHP. Also responsible for writing crons (scheduled tasks) for triggering notifications with respect to engagement platforms to the existing customer base and also relating system clean-up jobs.

• Developed a collaboration environment (as a part of a hackathon) where different users when using a performance tool can share their analysis (files such as presentation, excel) with the peers in real time. The dashboard which we call a story board acts like a common platform for the people who have been invited for the particular analysis is used to share analysis and work in a collaborative environment.
• ☛ Won 2nd Prize in the hackathon.
• Developed a performance analysis tool for a major Hotel chain company which deals on transaction data. The UI lets the user select parameters on basis of which queries are made. Since, the data amount being dealt is significantly high, focus is made on optimization, reducing the turnaround time and quality code.
• Developed a segmentation Tool as a Product for a major E-Commerce company which helps in analysis of survey data through visual mediums. The tool lets the user select metrics and filters, on basis of which calculations are made. The data is represented in form of charts and easily understandable UI design.
• Enhancement of a platform which helps managing tests and interviews of candidates. The work involved session management and quality code to make the application robust and bug-free.
