Collaborated with clinicians and computational data experts to develop tools for clinical assessment of EEG recordings. Analyzed a unique dataset of 50,000 EEG cases and corresponding neurological reports from four hospitals in British Columbia.
Led a big data project that integrated computational neuroscience and clinical neurophysiology to classify EEG reports using machine learning and natural language processing techniques. Developed mathematical models to determine if EEG recordings were normal or abnormal, with further sub-division into seizures and encephalopathy.
Additionally, worked on Compute Canada Super Cluster to leverage high-performance computing resources for efficient data analysis.
