About

Senior Data Modeler, Data Vault Specialist, and Enterprise Data Platform Architect with 13+ years of experience designing enterprise-scale data solutions across banking, government, and large transformation programs in the GCC region. My expertise spans enterprise data modeling, modern data architecture, and scalable data engineering. I specialize in transforming fragmented enterprise data into governed, trusted, and analytics-ready platforms that support business intelligence, regulatory reporting, and executive decision-making. I have extensive experience in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling, building business-aligned semantic layers and dimensional models that convert operational data into meaningful insights. I also design Data Vault 2.0 architectures and modern Lakehouse data platforms that enable scalable enterprise data integration. Currently based in Saudi Arabia, I work as a Senior Enterprise Data Modeler and Data Platform Engineer where I lead enterprise semantic modeling, define data modeling standards, and design metadata-driven data ingestion frameworks that integrate multiple enterprise systems into modern analytics environments. Core expertise includes Enterprise Data Modeling (Conceptual, Logical, Physical), Data Vault 2.0 architecture (Hubs, Links, Satellites), FSLDM-based banking data models, Kimball dimensional modeling, Enterprise Data Warehousing modernization, Lakehouse architecture, metadata-driven ingestion frameworks, source-to-target mapping, data governance and lineage, data quality, and performance optimization using advanced SQL. I also work extensively with Informatica IDMC pipelines, Hive and Trino analytics platforms, Parquet-based processing, CDC and incremental ingestion strategies, and scalable Lakehouse architectures. Career highlights include leading enterprise semantic models for government-scale platforms, delivering large banking EDW migrations aligned with FSLDM standards, architecting Data Vault and Lakehouse platforms integrating multiple enterprise systems, and enabling a single source of truth for enterprise analytics. I’m known for bridging business and technology, asking the right modeling questions, and designing data architectures that scale and deliver long-term value. • ● Responsible to analyse the customer information and data gaps between two banks to support customer data cleansing activities in the merger.
  • ● Created weekly Data cleansing visualizations/reports and shared it with business.
  • ● Working closely with architects to document the data issues and developing codes to cleanse the data.
  • ● Working on creating procedure and functions to provide solutions on different business problems.
  • ● Worked with Informatica to create migration mappings/workflow based on requirements.
  • Major work performed:
  • ● 99 Beneficiary resolution: one of the major issues where Alawwal can have more than 99, but target bank SABB has maximum limit have 99 beneficiaries (SARIE, SWIFT, SADAD, WITHIN BANK) per customer in SABBNET. Complexity increases when there are common customers, analysed the data from both systems to propose a solution with visualization and created a cleansing guideline.
  • ● Customer Address Migration: Most complex issues in migration to generate National and PO addresses as per target system in both English and Arabic language. In source system data is total junk for 60% of the customers. With detailed analysis concluded a best data trend to extract National address from the source system and map it with target system. With the address data analysis resolved issues for 200k customers out of 500K customers that are migrated
  • ● Customer Name Migration: Second most complex issue in migration to create a name as per target in English and Arabic format. Initially it is planned to go to central Yakeen agency to reach out for 300k customers to get their names in SAMA format but with help of name correction guidelines/procedure created/proposed by me we have resolved the names for 250K customers and saved a huge cost for bank.
  • Note : I've worked with Alawwal-Sab migration project as business data migration expert from Al Khayarat Support Company as a parent company

  • ● Worked with application migration projects where customer payroll data needs to be migrated from older payroll systems to new payroll system.
  • ● Created a multiple visualization using Tableau to create multiple reports and share it with stake holders.
  • ● Responsible for developing or updating ICP’s as per business logic. ICP are created to cleanse the data automatically as per the target application.
  • ● Technical POC to handle critical business scenario and develop the solutions on the same e.g., duplicate SSN, duplicate email report generation and correction, DET file encryption and decryption process development.
  • ● Many manual processes were atomized to bring automation culture in the system using PLSQL and Informatica.
  • ● Working with process improvement of migration projects by automating manual processes using SQL and PLSQL, Informatica.
  • Major work performed (add-ons):
  • ● Duplicate SSN Program: Initially in each client migration duplicate SSN scenario were handled manually by giving all the manual correction records to customer to get the clean data which involves cost to both client and company. I have initiated a process to create a SSN correction guidelines at company level based on previous migration and documented the scenario that can be corrected at company level and after approval from system architect, I have created a program that find the manual correction records and correct all possible customers within ODS and creating output file of only those SSN scenario that cannot be fixed at our level. As a result, we were able to reduce the timeliness by 30%. Same program in now used in many migration and data cleansing projects.

  • ● Worked with Cognos reporting tool to create reports as per technical documents.
  • ● Wrote complex queries to transform data as per the business logic.
  • ● Created different mappings in Informatica power centre as per design.
  • ● Wrote UNIX scripts to produce the files on daily basis like renaming the file, extracting date from file, unzipping the file and remove the junk characters from file before loading them into base tables.
  • ● Involved in Testing of ETL mappings and reports using complex SQL queries.
  • Major work performed:
  • ● SMART SQL ENGINE (Individual): It is an oracle procedure that can be used for automated testing of one-to-one loaded oracle tables. This will automatically create test cases, execute the test and store output in a result table. Great efforts were saved.
  • ● FILE VALIDATION ENGINE (Individual): It is the UNIX script that can be used for testing of file to table data flow. Automated creation and execution of count and data validation test cases can be done using this script. All records in file are compared, so advantages over sampling method. Also, efforts of test case creation and execution are reduced.
