Intent AI Search revolutionizes traditional search by using generative AI to create a more human-like shopping experience. Instead of relying solely on keywords like "red Nike shoes," customers can express their needs in natural language, such as "Can you show me red Nike shoes?" This search tool offers powerful features, including:
1. Smart auto-completion and suggestions based on recent activity, like prompting "red Nike shoes for men" when typing "red Nike."
2. Enhanced product interaction, allowing questions like "Is this waterproof?" or comparisons like "How does this product compare to the last one I viewed?"
3. Automatic product enrichment, reducing the burden on retailers by adding contextual data and extracting key phrases with generative AI.
With Intent AI Search, finding products becomes as natural as asking a shopkeeper.
As a founding engineer and core founding team member, I was responsible for setting up the entire infrastructure from scratch. For this project, I learned and implemented various technologies and tech stacks, including Azure SQL, Azure Blobs, ReactJS, Docker, Elasticsearch, FastAPI, OpenAI, OpenTelemetry (Signoz), and more. My work primarily focused on the backend part of the search infrastructure, managing over 10,000 lines of code across 4+ microservices, while also maintaining essential DevOps tasks such as scripts for quick deployment and managing dev/prod environments, with automated git change deployments 💻
