  • During my internship I had the opportunity to interact with multiple areas of the Adult Rehabilitation Service, thus understanding the various medical exams, equipment, and methods used for the rehabilitation and better integration of all the patients into society. The area where I spent the most time was the Technical Resource Center, where the CMRA Biomedical Engineer is located, experiencing first-hand the daily work of this profession.
  • Contributions:
  • Physiotherapy: pressure cushion and change in the regulation system of the walkers.
  • Speech Therapy: writing adaptor and communication tables for patients with aphasia more complete and more personalized for each one.
  • In addition, I built a communication chart to be used in wards with the various needs that inpatients require.
