• As a Physical Signoff Intern at Synopsys, I contributed to the development, automation, and enhancement of physical verification flows using C++, Tcl, Bash, and Synopsys tools like IC Validator (ICV) and Custom Compiler. Key contributions include the implementation of InDesign LVS Stage 1, enhancement of Farmlaunch for hybrid execution, and development of Layer Data Type (LDT) debugging support. I implemented ICV log enhancements in signoff flows, fixed critical Coverity issues (including null pointer and non-determinism bugs), and addressed regression failures while adding several new regression scenarios. I contributed to codebase structuring, hierarchical logging for PSTimer, and robust support for debug modes across DRC/LVS flows. I also implemented floating PGA shape filtering, enhanced report_stats for generalized statistical reporting, and added flat via count reporting support. Additionally, I authored multiple manpages, resolved file parsing issues, fixed script-level infinite loops, and improved modularity in TrackFill code. My work involved both individual ownership of critical projects and close collaboration with cross-functional, globally distributed teams.
