Sravan Chalasani is an Associate with RMI's Climate Intelligence Program. His work includes the development and piloting of sector-specific guidance on Greenhouse Gas (GHG) accounting for Steel, Aluminum, and other industrial supply chains with the goal of creating differentiated commodities with low embodied emissions in these industrial sectors. Prior to that Sravan was a Senior Research Associate in the Building Technology & Urban Systems Division at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL), focusing on implementation and evaluation of US DOE FEMP’s EEPP program. Sravan has a Masters degree in Environmental Science and Management from the University of California, Santa Barbara and has experience doing research and data analysis on climate change mitigation policies and local government sustainability initiatives. He also worked at an international non-profit organization focusing on corporate sustainability and GHG inventorying. Sravan wants to use his skills and knowledge to help reduce humanity's impact on the climate system and the natural environment.
