Hi, I’m Arun Krishnan, a self-taught Full Stack Developer specializing in the MERN stack and Next.js and Remote Sensing enthusiast. I am currently pursuing my B.Tech at National Institute of Technology, Calicut. I enjoy building responsive web applications, RESTful APIs, authentication systems and dashboards that solve real problems. Through GDSC, FOSSCell and other college clubs, I’ve contributed to event management platforms and full-stack projects. It helped me to collaborating in team environments and following best development practices. I have also worked on GIS and remote sensing projects using QGIS, focusing on watershed delineation, hydrological analysis, and satellite image processing using Landsat imagery. These projects helped me understand spatial data analysis, map visualization, and the practical use of geospatial tools in solving real-world civil and environmental problems. I’m actively seeking internship or entry-level opportunities as a Full Stack/ MERN Develope/ GIS Analyst, where I can contribute to impactful projects while continuously learning and growing as a software engineer. I've been executive at FOSSMeet 2025 at NIT Calicut and gained experience in teamwork and event management. Over three days (March 14, 15, and 16), we witnessed an incredible exchange of ideas, innovation, and collaboration in the Free and Open-Source Software (FOSS) community. During the event I got the opportunity to volunteer in the workshop GPU Programming and Kubernetes, where I helped to set the systems workshop ready by downloading important packages as instructed by senior executives.

We've build event management web app named Evnetika. I was the Point of Contact, where I had to conduct the meetings, discuss with team members to write the SRS (Software Requirement Specifications) and update the project progress with Mentors and other seniors. We had three sub groups - designers, frontend and backend devs. We discussed the workflow, project architecture, selecting the stack, designing the backend APIs and we contributed via GitHub. We used MERN stack to build this web app. Team members: Lishin, Visruth, Dinesh, Shankar, Arun.

Tathva is technical fest hosted at NIT Calicut. As part of the Tathva Technical Team, we deployed a website (tathva.org). We followed component based architecture and I've built UI component using NextJS and TailwindCSS. I learned to collaborate in team, coordination under senior mentorship and task management skills. Each junior is given some component to work on, and after reviewing by our team head, Mr. Vinit Keshri and Mr. Arun Natarajan, it will merge to the main repo. It's actually cool to work with like-minded people and share the challenges with them and find the solutions.
