  • I managed Control Plane team in Elastic Block Store (EBS). We were building the next generation of storage Control plane to handle the scale of a core AWS service. Team designed and built low latency(sub-millisecond), highly available(4 9s) distributed systems at internet scale. We worked on a highly scalable, fault-tolerant control plane for Elastic Block Storage. The team was responsible for the end to end orchestration, management of customer meta-data and state, and overall lifecycle of the EBS volumes. We delivered customer facing features like encrypted EBS, GP3, IO2 block express, Multi-attach etc. We've been challenged to operate at scale without compromising on availability, performance and cost. EBS provides high performing virtualized storage “in the cloud” for EC2. It is a key building block for many applications, from databases to distributed file systems to Hadoop clusters.
  • Amazon Elastic Block Store (Amazon EBS) provides persistent block level storage volumes for use with Amazon EC2 instances in the AWS Cloud. https://aws.amazon.com/ebs/
