• Leading Backend Development for User-Generated Content at Shiksha
• I led the backend team responsible for key user-generated content modules at Shiksha, including Ask & Answer, College Reviews, College Predictors, Exam Pages, and Online Forms.
• One of my most impactful contributions has been in launching and scaling Shiksha’s Exam Pages, which now account for over one-third of the platform’s total traffic. These pages experience intense traffic spikes—up to 10x–12x—during critical academic events like admit card releases, exam schedules, result announcements, and counselling updates.
• To ensure high availability and performance during these peaks, we re-architected the entire module using a microservices-based approach. Both the application logic and database layers were decoupled, enabling independent horizontal scaling of critical services and significantly improving reliability under load.
• Additionally, I led the revamp of the College Reviews system, introducing a more detailed and structured format for users to submit their reviews. This not only improved the quality of content but also drove a noticeable increase in both review submissions and user engagement with the review section.
• I also contributed to the implementation of CI/CD pipelines for our services, automating the QA and staging deployment processes. This reduced manual errors, improved development velocity, and brought greater consistency to our release cycle.
• As the team lead, I mentor and manage a team of three developers, ensuring adherence to best coding practices, high-quality deliverables, and agile discipline throughout the sprint cycles.

• Led the end-to-end development of a user-driven Q&A platform focused on gadgets and electronic devices. The platform empowered users to ask product-related queries and contribute answers, creating a community-driven research hub that helped users discover the best tech options available in the market.
• Built and Scaled an In-House Browser Notification System
• Spearheaded the development of a custom browser notification system, replacing a third-party SaaS solution. This in-house platform significantly cut operational costs by over 80% and improved support turnaround times from 1–2 days to under an hour. It now serves as a critical channel for user engagement and retargeting.
• Created a Personalised Mailer System for Price Drop & Product Recommendations
• Designed and implemented a tailored email alert system to notify users of price drops and suggest similar products. This feature greatly enhanced the user experience by delivering timely and relevant product insights, leading to positive user feedback and increased engagement. The system was built for scale and seamlessly handled large user volumes.
• Contributed to the Overhaul and Scaling of the Reviews System
• Played a key role in modernising the legacy review system by transitioning it to a microservices architecture. This revamp enabled independent scaling, improved system reliability, and set the foundation for future enhancements and integrations.
• Collaborated on the Full-Scale Migration to AWS Cloud Infrastructure
• Worked closely with senior engineering leadership to plan and execute the migration of 91Mobiles' entire infrastructure to AWS. This highly complex project required deep learning of AWS services and meticulous planning. The migration was completed with near-zero downtime and marked a major milestone in the platform’s cloud modernisation journey.
