• As Project Manager, I handle clients like Pearson, Macmillan and ensure timely delivery of every project. Projects are majorly related to assessment of older editions of the book. During this assessment, thorough analysis of previous years’ agreements and records provided from Client’s end. In this assessment, all the assets (Text, Photo and other Rich Media specs) are properly check in order to confirm that it is good to use in upcoming edition. A detailed report along with all the future expenses associated to that project sent to client. Once we get confirmation from client, we receive future schedule related to that project. To ensure timely delivery o projects, different jobs assigned to Clearance Specialist. On regular basis, follow ups taken from Clearance Specialist to ensure timely delivery of project and a detailed report provided to Client on weekly or fortnight basis as per the requirement. In the meantime, we also take care of any kind new updates from Client and share concerns in case any team faces during the project execution.

• Here, primarily handling permissions for UK and International projects along with supporting other branches. Projects directly handover to us via UK Editors/ Project Controller, we then first assess the logs. During this assessment phase, we check whether the text asset is under fair use/public domain or not. Once we finalise the assets which need clearance, after finding the correct right holder. We send out permission requests. To find out the correct Right holder, we need to deep dive Google and other publisher websites where appropriate details for the author or the agents. For photo assets, in case of reprint/revised edition, we check all the RM(Rights Managed) images and try to have its microstock options(123rf, Shutterstock). For new photo research, we deliver options and after final selections, high res images deliver for the same along with acknowledgements. We keep track of every photo and text permissible assets and regular follow ups and negotiation done as per the current budget for that title. Managing relationships with all stakeholders. After receiving approval on fee quotes, we process the payment and archive all the relevant contracts and invoices for future references. We have to check the terms and conditions mentioned in the contract and fill the details accordingly in the tracker as per the contracts. Managing contracts project wise and archive them once the project finishes. Keep track of conditions mentioned in the tracker and go for renewal of contracts wherever required. Coordinating with Editor and designer as per their specific requirement for images and manuscripts. We manage timely delivery of every project by tracking them through a personalized tracker. We send weekly reports for every project on a weekly basis to keep our UK managers updated on current status.

• Review photos received from hosts for their new experiences at the Airbnb website. Make necessary edits if required via Photoshop. Along with this, maintain records of every review done on a daily basis. Curate photos of already published experiences on Airbnb website and ensure they are as per guidelines from Airbnb website. Make necessary selections from sets of photoshoots received for every property. Process raw photos received from photographs and make changes as per specified guidelines. • Understanding the complexity of the projects received from Our Cambridge Managers and Permissions Clearance Controller. After studying all information related to projects like Project brief, previous permissions log in case of reprint and further editions, manuscript, originals related to project. Assessment of all the third party text and photo assets in accordance with the previous permission log and documents. Once assessment is done, we prepare a log, which contains all the permissible specs, to be used in the project and find out the correct right holder and recheck the specs whether it is permissible or not and maintain every spec in database i.e. smartsheet and personalized trackers. After finding the correct right holder, we send permission requests to all the right holders and negotiate with them in order to maintain the budget of the project. Maintain relationships with each 3rd party right holder. Managing projects by taking care of deadlines of all deliverables for every project as per the project brief and scheduling follow ups for unresponsive right holders/vendors. Once we get confirmation on the specified fee for each spec, we complete the payment process by raising PO (Purchase order) and maintain each and everything in the database. Parallel with text permission, we handle photo items. After finding out permissible photo items and items needs re-research. Photo log is prepared which contains details of all photo items. Perform photo research for the re-research and new items provided along with the project and track all the information through smart sheet and personalized trackers. Perform Photo Research for new projects received from Cambridge Managers. During this photo research and text permissions, we send status reports to Cambridge Managers and Permissions Clearance Controller and coordinate with them to discuss the project queries if we have any. Perform pass page review after 3rd and 4th proof received from Project Managers.

• Do the assessment of Image Log provided by Client Of previous Edition in Case of Reprint and Further Edition. Here In assessment we filter out all the images that need to be re-permissioned and which needs to be replaced. Those which need replacements are sent across to the Research Team. Then we maintain the whole data on Excel sheet, client provided tool (PRISM) and start sending requests for images that need permission for reuse and for new research that has been provided by the Research Team. After getting permission, High Resolution Images are provided to the client. We also did a passpage review for the images that are going to be used in the book. In Pass Page review, we check through our database and tool that every image is placed in the right place and the correct image is used. Along with Image permission, we need to do Image research for the content provided by the Client and for the spec, which are to be replaced.
