Early-stage Cheques

Jan 2020Nov 2023 · 3 yrs 10 mos

  • Used to occasionally write tiny cheques to companies I fell in love with. Realised that, a) there is hardly much I can help with, I’m myself on a steep learning curve, b) I am really really really busy with Leverage, so unable to make time mostly, c) it did nothing more than an ego massage to self lol, and I’d kind of passed that point in life, d) there are a lot of other areas I could part my savings for (got way more interested in philanthropy), and hence this era came to an end.
  • Between 2020-2023, put small token cheques in about 25 companies, only thesis being “intent of the founder” to do good, not just say but actually play it out. Continue to be invested in everything.

Director, Graduate Student Board

Jun 2014Apr 2015 · 10 mos

  • As part of this role, I am responsible for all things Brand ISB. I have worked on every single event that has happened at ISB, sometimes leading teams while sometimes being the soldier and executing stuff right off the ground. I am a big believer of this school's vision and consider myself very fortunate to have been given the mandate of serving the school by 550+ students, and I have lived that dream every single day this year.

GSB Director - Admissions Office

May 2014Apr 2015 · 11 mos

  • Admissions (AFA) Office was not directly connected to a Graduate Student Board Director till last year. I see 'Admissions' as one of the primary drivers of the school, building the brand via traditional adverts, digital media, analytics and city-to-city outreach - so I changed that this year!
  • I actively worked with the very exciting Admissions Team, which welcomed my initiatives, and involved me in their programs, which made me even more passionate for ISB than I was before. Few key things I worked on this year as the Student Director, with AFA, are:
  • Post Dean Rangnekar's referral to Munish, worked with him on strategies around smoothening international student intake
  • Individually conducted ISB YLP Sessions across Delhi University and AIESEC
  • Helped conduct application review sessions, overseeing the same with Sanjay + individually reviewed multiple PGP applications
  • Represented the school in GMAC videos, for promoting ISB and extending our internal outreach
  • Worked with Neha to bring alive the 'One School. Two Campus' video by coordinating the entire sequence in Hyderabad, working with the core team on ideation, as well as post-release promotion - the video is now used at multiple info sessions around the country/internationally
  • Organized "TweetChat with Neeraj Arora" (Vice President, WhatsApp, and an illustrious alum) and interviewed him for the ISB-360 App with Neha - very successful events
  • Individually hosted 7 live audio info-sessions before Round 1 and 2 deadlines
  • Worked with Munish, Rupesh and Sheetal on ISB's International web-info session, which turned out to be a huge success
  • Conceived and set-up ISB Brand Brigade, launched in partnership with Ms. Hima Bindu, Neha and Sanjay - to manage ISB's brand on popular admissions blogs
  • As a joint initiative between MCC, Admissions and MarCom, I propelled the growth of Life@ISB video series, and ensured its success - has had a huge branding impact, thus helping in Outreach
