Working in a cruise Ingestion team the team is responsible to manage the inventory details of cruise like Sailings, Pricings, Rates etc.
Project: Direct Connect (Major Initiative and Time Bounded)
1. Working on a direct connect initiative.
2. Developed Parity Testing module to compare the data from two different sources and to publish the diff into the file which can be analysed further to check the differences and implementation gap it's key feature was it was a schema less system.
2. Developed end to end mechanism including HLD and LLD to sync the inventories from the files (some small cruiselines provides the inventory information using the files rather than providing the live api calls) to the cruise system.
Simplified overall system and developed service on which future cruiselines which provides the data using files can be onboarded to the only one service (files-ingestion-adapter).
Made the file querying system efficient and developed intermediate event based system which would copy the csv files into the mongodb and adapter apis would query this mongo. Since Mongo is involved so overall process becomes highly scalable.
