• At Uolo, I led the Engineering, Infrastructure, and QA functions for an edtech platform serving 15,000+ schools across India. I built the foundation of engineering processes by introducing AI-powered code reviews, automated build, integration and deployment pipelines, as well as robust monitoring and alerting systems. I drove the architecture and design of the core User, Payments, Platform, and Learning modules using an event-driven microservices architecture capable of handling millions of events per second. On the product side, I spearheaded the development of Teach and Learn mobile apps with Flutter, tripling developer productivity. To ensure security, reliability, and scalability, I rearchitected the infrastructure with Kubernetes, middleware, and optimized databases, supporting millions of concurrent users without a major outage in three years. I also automated deployments with Jenkins and Terraform, significantly reducing engineering effort, and streamlined incident management by implementing an escalation matrix, SLAs, metrics, 24x7 pager duty, and automated alarms, bringing average infrastructure resolution time down to just 3 minutes.

• The Economic Times (ET), India’s largest digital business news publisher, commands more than three times the combined engagement of the next seven publishers in the business news category, contributing to 77% of total category engagement. The ET website averages 115.4 minutes of engagement per user and reaches a massive audience of 49 million unique users. Its engagement is 29 times higher than Livemint, the closest competitor in unique visitors, while also attracting six million more users.
• At ET, I managed the Engineering and QA functions for the digital and subscription platforms serving 40 million monthly active users. I headed key verticals including Markets, Subscription, Apps (Android and iOS), PWA, and Personalization. I directed machine learning and AI-based initiatives to deliver personalized content, recommendations, and notifications to users. I also led a team of 60 highly talented engineers focused on building next-generation products in the digital reading space. To strengthen engineering processes, I advanced development and deployment pipelines to full CI/CD by running a successful pilot in ET Markets.

• At Amazon, I headed the architecture and design of the data collection framework that powered Seller data collection across multiple marketplaces including the US, EU, China, Brazil, and Japan. I also led the architecture of Global Registration, which unified data collection across marketplaces into a single global region and enabled Sellers to seamlessly sell worldwide on the Amazon platform.
• Beyond core engineering, I contributed extensively to Amazon’s hiring culture as a Bar Raiser. I interviewed more than 300 candidates across diverse role families including SDEs, Architects, Program Managers, Product Managers, and SDMs, and conducted over 200 debriefs. I also ran five full-day workshops as an SDE functional interview trainer, preparing prospective interviewers with best practices for assessing SDE and Sr. SDE candidates.
• In addition to my architectural leadership, I was hands-on in coding, contributing over 100,000 lines of code annually on critical projects during my three-plus years at Amazon. My performance and impact were recognized through my selection for Compass, Amazon’s senior leadership development program awarded only to the highest-performing senior engineers.

• At hCentive, I managed a team of 40 high-impact engineers and headed the company’s flagship Health Insurance Exchange platform, which powered state health insurance exchanges in New York, Colorado, Kentucky, and Massachusetts. I led the implementation of the Massachusetts exchange and played a key role as an early-stage employee, helping the organization scale to more than 700 employees and achieve over $50 million in revenue.
