• Involved in the task of the automated revealing of significant topics hidden in a collection of text data related to financial markets.
• Unsupervised clustering was used to find homogeneous groups of documents that should represent the topics. As the number of topics was unknown the procedure also included finding a suitable number of clusters. Subsequently, the documents were partitioned using multiple clustering algorithms. Significant features characterizing the groups were extracted with the application of the Chi square method. Then, each group of extracted features was manually evaluated in order to determine its suitable topic. Finally, a publication summarizing the results is being prepared.
