About

From my early days in design, I’ve been captivated by how spaces shape interactions and experiences. As a Senior Design Advisor with the Design and Infrastructure Standards (DaIS) team at the NSW Department of Education, I help shape the quality, functionality, and long-term impact of learning environments across the state. With a background in architecture and design strategy, I work collaboratively with architects, consultants, and project teams to ensure that educational spaces reflect the Department’s vision for excellence, sustainability, and inclusivity. I’m passionate about creating child-centred, inclusive, and future-focused learning environments that support wellbeing and learning outcomes. My work includes developing and refining design frameworks and standards—such as the Preschool Design Brief, Patternbook, Landscape for Playspaces, and FF+E Guidelines—that guide best practice across the education portfolio. Known for my collaborative and results-focused approach, I’m driven by the belief that thoughtful design can inspire curiosity, foster belonging, and leave a lasting positive impact on children and their communities. Areas of Expertise: - Educational and early learning design - Design standards, briefing, and compliance - FF+E strategy and implementation - Stakeholder engagement and coordination - Landscape and play-based design - Policy alignment and design quality assurance
