Worked in the PRESTO (An open source distributed SQL query engine, by Facebook) team and designed User Defined Functions to add & enhance the Engine’s functionalities and thus enabling Data analyst to easily migrate from HIVE to PRESTO.
Created a Code Generator using Facebook’s Java ByteCode library which generates a JAVA code during run time. The dynamically generated code significantly speeds up the presto query execution as the generated code is tailor made for the specific query.
