• 1. User data extraction framework development & latency Improvements:
• Existing methods for extracting user data, such as salary information, were complex and flawed, leading to incorrect business decisions. After analysing the root cause, I created a framework used by ten services to rectify decision-making processes, ensuring consistent results while reducing code rewrites. Additionally, I identified potential improvements in response times to customers, reducing the execution times of major customer-facing services by 35%.
• 2. End-to-End Error Monitoring and Notification System:
• Proactively developed monitoring and logging framework for all the services to notify through chats in gmail. This introduced efficiency in debugging which brought hidden customer impacting errors to team’s notice. Thus decreasing the failures in customer journey by 70%.
• 3. AWS cost reduction through resource optimisation:
• Leveraged my AWS expertise to developed custom scripts to analyze granular-level pricing for AWS services, a feature not available out of the box. This enabled the team to identify bottlenecks and areas of overspending on AWS resources. By optimising these resources, I helped the team reduce monthly costs by 30%.

• I was involved in the decoupling of events and the transition to a new infrastructure. I conducted thorough testing and validation of the new infrastructure strategy. I also developed both high- and low-level designs for the transfer of data from DynamoDB to Redshift, updating jobs and APIs as part of the migration process, and creating jobs for a monitored launch. I successfully transferred
• approximately 10 GB of streaming data to Redshift without any data loss and with minimal cost.
• Developed a dashboard for Package Details that displays comprehensive information needed for the execution flow. The dashboard includes various search options, date filters, the ability to share links, and the ability to download results, among other features. It is currently utilised by over 600 stakeholders within Amazon for debugging purposes.
• I also took care of several Operational Excellence tasks, including end-to-end planning and scaling of 4 services during high-traffic events such as Prime Day, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday sales. I also ensured the security certification of an application containing critical customer data and managed hardware migrations to improve efficiency. I successfully resolved over 100 identified risks.
• Carried out a critical event source migration that involved multiple rounds of testing and some ad hoc fixes. To ensure a successful migration, I created several Python scripts to analyse the process and monitor the launch. The migration was completed successfully without any impact on customers or loss of data.
