• Working as a Backend Engineer at Cognizant on a private banking platform for JPMC, where I design and operate backend systems for critical account-opening workflows. My work focuses on building failure-resilient, long-running processing pipelines by introducing centralized state 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲-𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗺𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶-𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗿 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗳𝗹𝗼𝘄𝘀. I redesigned the retry orchestration to support partial and targeted retries, significantly improving r𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗿𝘆-𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗯𝘆 𝟴𝟱% (UAT metrics).
• I also worked on optimizing high-traffic account-opening flows by decoupling heavy synchronous processing using 𝗞𝗮𝗳𝗸𝗮-𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘀𝘆𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗽𝗶𝗽𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝟯-𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗮𝘆𝗹𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲, reducing execution time, compute overhead, and synchronization cost. My contributions span distributed systems design, 𝗮𝘀𝘆𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, with a strong focus on correctness, observability, and operational robustness in a regulated banking environment.

• Completed a 3-month internship at Cognizant, gaining hands-on experience in Java development, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, and enterprise application workflows. Worked with senior engineers to understand Agile delivery, requirement analysis, code quality standards, and cloud-based development environments. Contributed to building and enhancing REST APIs, integrating services through API Gateway, performing debugging, documentation, and testing tasks. Gained practical exposure to SDLC processes, CI/CD, version control, and scalable service design. Strengthened my technical foundation and understanding of real-world engineering practices.
