As a Principal PM at CheapOair, I lead growth through product for the flights function. I have successfully led over 150 conversion rate optimization experiments across landing pages and search results to drive greater itinerary selection. I also have a strong background in EdTech, having worked as a Senior Product Manager at BYJU'S, where I developed a recommender system for parents to choose follow-up games after their first purchase as well as a web scraper to match competitor pricing. Additionally, I was the Founding PM at Decathlon UK, where I launched the MVP of Decathlon Play, integrated with OpenActive and imin to grow both supply and demand, and shipped PLAY as multiple microservices to partner Decathlon countries.   • FMCG Sales is a good learning curve to start one's professional career with and I was fortunate to do so at India's 4th largest FMCG company - Dabur India Limited. I worked as a Sales & Marketing Intern for the company for two months in Jamshedpur.
  • Jamshedpur is conventionally a weak market for Dabur - it lacks behind competitors Reckitt Benckiser and Marico. Much of this is attributed to the difficulty of getting trained Stockist Salesmen (SSMs) for the stockists of Dabur. My project brief was to find a solution for the above problem.
  • An overall summary of what I did would be as follows:
  • 1) I monitored individual and overall SSM Efficiency using performance metrics such as Effective Coverage of Outlets, Billing Efficiency & Total Lines Sold.
  • 2) Using the data obtained from the above process, I established correlations between the efficiency parameters and sales value targets set for the SSMs.
  • 3) Finally, using my analysis, I evolved an incentive model called the Dabur Sales League to improve Salesman Efficiency and drive retail growth.
  • Some aspects of my model was experimented with in Jamshedpur and a new model based on the initial experiment was implementated in the North Eastern states of India - another weak market for Dabur. I received the Gold Medal for Best Summer Intern in Marketing for my project.
