  • Collaborated with the newsroom to build workflows to automate the acquisition of court documents from PACER, using Python and Selenium. This would save months of manual work to find cases that are relevant to any investigative story.
  • Built a Chrome extension that allows users to share content from news websites using different image templates.
  • Built an iOS app in Swift 5 to showcase designs around personalization features and utility journalism. The app includes layouts to show news based on user’s preferences and usage habits and interfaces to show guides such as the LA Times Coronavirus tracker and the California wildfire map. Development work for the prototype took four weeks. These features are expected to be integrated within the LA Times app.
