• I was the first engineer hired at Secureframe. I built the majority of the product and architected all of our key systems at this stage. During the latter portion of this role I was managing a team of contractors and mostly doing architecture work vs hands on coding.
• A few of the key systems I built include:
• Re-architected integration infrastructure. When I came in it was hardcoded to only support OAuth. I rewrote it so we could make all our integrations very modular and make them very fast to implement
• Implemented the core compliance testing infra. Once data comes in, we need to run checks against that data and map those checks to compliance frameworks. This is the core value prop that Secureframe provides
• Policy management engine and employee onboarding
• Notifications engine
• Authorization
• Data Room (Google Drive clone)
• Built out all of our testing, logging, and monitoring solutions
• During this time, we grew our engineering team to 3 FT engineers (myself and 2 new grads) and 3 offshore contract engineers

• At Opendoor I worked on the following:
• Built a contract generation system that automatically generates all of Opendoor's contracts and worked with brokerage team to ensure 100% coverage for all contract types and states.
• Shadowed operators to discover problems, scope and build solutions to deliver over 20% efficiency gains for our resale agents.
• Built highest traffic service at Opendoor - a service to centralize all customer communications and measure email deliverability.
• Built the first integration with our Title JV in order to sync across data and documents, resulting in a large increase in capacity for our operators.
• Helped found the mortgage business by setting up our initial technologies, and built tooling for our sales and operations teams.
• I did this using: Go, Ruby (Rails), Typescript, React, NodeJS, GraphQL, Apollo

• Worked on Aidin’s product using Ruby on Rails and other technologies. Wrote an application in Sinatra to allow hospitals to fax in attachments to Aidin. Set up deployment environment from scratch using Phusion Passenger, Unicorn, Nginx, and Capistrano. Developed a sandbox environment for CCD and ADT feeds to simulate a hospital.
