I've spent 5 years building software for other people's problems. Ecommerce platforms. Taxi booking systems. Social apps. Banking infrastructure. Healthcare tools. Three years ago I went freelance. I wanted to build things faster, with more ownership, and for clients who actually needed solutions — not just code. That part worked out. What I didn't expect was that the problem I'd end up caring most about wasn't a client's problem at all. It was mine. I love road trips. I've done enough of them across Himachal to know one thing with complete certainty — they never go to plan. A road is blocked. A place takes longer than expected and you want to stay. Someone has to head back early. The trip evolves in real time, constantly. And yet every time I tried to plan one, I'd spend hours finding places, mapping how each stop affected the next, building a plan in my head or across 14 browser tabs — then sharing a wall of text with friends who immediately got confused. The planning was harder than the trip. So I started building RoamLine — a travel app designed specifically for road trips that evolve. Not a rigid itinerary tool. Something that moves with you. The waitlist is live. The product is in development. I'm building it in public. I believe every travel app right now is built for the plan. Nobody built one for when the plan changes — which is when the real trip begins.
