After the sale of AirData to a UK Airline, I transferred internally to work with World Fuel | Colt
Technically employed by the Costa Rican subsidiary (Petroservicios de Costa Rica S.R.L.) I was assigned to work on a day to day basis with the Webster, TX based teams.
World Fuel Services are responsible for one of the iStore's largest and most complex applications - My World WFS
The app consolidates flight planning plus trip and fuel applications into a single environment for business aviation flight departments.
This project followed the Agile methodology and involved multiple Product Owners.
I was responsible for the Air Traffic Control messaging component and the flight route cataloging component, additionally I functioned as a domain expert to other Product Teams on matters relating to Flight Planning in European airspace.

Initially recruited as a software engineer in 1996, I spent several years working on various parts of the flight planning software before being promoted to Technical Manager in 1998. This role gave me responsibility for both the Customer Support Department and Software Development departments and gave me exposure to the non technical aspects of the business. In 2002, after a reorganization, I was appointed to the CEO position.
As a senior I.T. management professional in the aviation industry, I undertook a significant amount of international travel, attending high level meetings with major airlines and aircraft manufacturers. Closely directed software development, client support, sales, marketing strategy and day to day financial management of a successful and profitable subsidiary/BU of a large multi-national PLC.
