I am a serial entrepreneur, technologist and startup guy focused on the role that Machine Learning and AI will play in transforming markets and the world. For the past 15 years, I have founded, launched and sold three companies focused on machine learning and artificial intelligence that have placed ML and AI in thousands of companies around the world. Today, I serve as CEO of Worlds. I am joined my long-time business partner and good friend , Chris Rohde and co-founder Ross Bates. Worlds is creating the platform for building the Industrial Metaverse. We are creating live digital twins of ground floor operations so clients can see their world as a live data stream. With their world as data, they are free to measure, analyze and re-imagine their businesses at scale. AI has had a coming out party recently and its clear to me that AI is now infrastructure and AI-based automation will lead us into the fourth industrial revolution. Worlds will lead the way. I was awarded this year E&Ys Entrepreneur of the Year for the Central Plains and represented our area in the national competition in Palm Springs. I am a finalist for Dallas Innovates Innovator of the year for 2023, a finalist for Tech Titans Innovator of the Year 2022 and recently chosen as one of DCEO’s Dallas 500 as well. I received my BA from the University of North Texas in Industrial Anthropology / Corporate Culture. I'm an invited member of the Aspen Institute’s Roundtable on AI, an Xprize Visioneer, an active member of Peter Diamandis' A360 community, a frequent speaker at MIT’s EmTech conferences and I currently serve on the US Government's Council fir Competitiveness (focused on disruptive technologies). I'm an active mentor at Capital Factory and the Dallas Entrepreneurs Center (the DEC) an investor at the Health Wildcatters and an Entrepreneur in Residence at the University of Texas, Dallas. I was voted the Top Startup Entrepreneur of the Year in Texas in 2017 and my company, Brainspace was voted Startup of the year in 2016. When I am not geeking out about AI and emerging technologies, I enjoy collecting custom guitars, brewing craft beer and cooking BBQ on my grill (pellet smokers have changed my life). When I am REALLY away I enjoy ocean sailing & family time at our house on the island of Bequia, our home away from home with our many, many friends there.
