I have spent 12 years in some of India's loudest, fastest newsrooms, and somewhere between interviewing Tim Cook and filing stories at midnight, I realised the part I loved most was never the byline. It was the story behind the story. The craft of figuring out what actually matters, who needs to hear it, and how to make them care. That is what brought me to communications. As Tech Editor at Hindustan Times, News18 and The Times of India, I built relationships with the PR and communications teams of virtually every major technology brand in the world. Apple, Samsung, Google, Meta, Microsoft or even tech brands that have been AI-washed. I sat across the table from their CEOs, watched their communications professionals work, and quietly took notes. Eventually I stopped taking notes and started wanting to do the job myself. I have led editorial teams of up to 10 people, managed multi-platform content strategies reaching millions, and developed narratives that had to compete for attention in some of the most crowded media environments on the planet. Those skills do not stay in the newsroom. They travel well. I am now looking for communications roles across PR, corporate communications and internal communications, where I can bring a journalist's instincts, a storyteller's craft, and a genuine curiosity about the world to an organisation with something worth saying.
