• At Groupon, I work on core backend systems for the travel and booking platform, focusing on integrations, performance, pricing, and platform reliability. I have built and owned features that integrate with partners like Expedia and TripAdvisor to fetch and display hotel amenities, guest reviews, and ratings while ensuring compliance with partner guidelines. A major part of my work has been optimizing system performance and cost efficiency, where I redesigned slow synchronous flows into parallel, multi-threaded processes and removed unnecessary external API calls.
• I have worked on building secure and reliable platforms by implementing role-based access control (RBAC) for different user roles and improving system observability using reliability metrics like MTTD and MTTR. I also contributed to configuration-driven dashboards that allow business and operations teams to monitor deal health and merchant performance without code changes.
• In the pricing domain, I onboarded thousands of hotels, resolved complex pricing discrepancies, and helped design scalable pricing logic such as member-only and grey pricing. My work directly impacts booking accuracy, price competitiveness, and overall user experience, while keeping systems performant, reliable, and cost-effective.

• At Goldman Sachs, I worked on critical financial systems related to trade processing and Initial Margin calculations, where accuracy and performance were essential. • I built backend services and REST APIs in Java and also worked as a full-stack engineer, developing dashboards using React and Redux for data visualization and manipulation. These tools were widely used by business teams for daily operations. I also built bulk data upload tools that improved efficiency and reduced manual effort.
• In addition, I decommissioned legacy features that were increasing system load and implemented scheduled jobs to automate margin updates. I contributed to Data Lake systems by building data stores, datasets, and APIs for analytics use cases.
