Hi I am Divya Arora, a Doctorate in Naturopathy, a storyteller, and a halwai at heart. Rooted in tradition and driven by a growth mindset, I bring creativity, curiosity, and a pioneering spirit to the evolving world of Indian sweets. With over a decade of experience in the hospitality space through Surya Mahal Restaurant and Catering (established in 1954) , I founded Kesar in 2013 to reimagine mithai in form, flavour, and feeling. What’s guided me from the beginning is a simple vision: ~ To honour heritage while embracing innovation. ~ To make Indian sweets not just nostalgic but truly global. At Kesar, we’ve introduced artisanal creations like rose petal laddoos, lavender rasgullas, and Turkish delights to Jaipur's food culture, inspiring sweet makers across the city and beyond. Kesar has now grown into two flagship stores in Jaipur, a team of 100+, and a customer base that spans continents. We’ve been featured on Fox Life and Discovery Channel with Chef Vikas Khanna, and recognised by institutions like IIM Bangalore, the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women Program, and FedEx. Our next chapter is launching India’s first structured institute dedicated to modern mithai-making, blending innovation, shelf life, and purity, without preservatives. Because we believe the future of Indian sweets is not just handcrafted. It is visionary. And if there’s one thing I have learned along the way: Never underestimate the power of a halwai ;)
