  • I helped build Cloudflare Workers, Cloudflare's FaaS (functions as a service) product. Workers deploys customers' serverless code to data centers across 194 cities in 90 countries, using the V8 JavaScript engine to run code with minimal cold starts.
  • In my day-to-day, I worked with a variety of tools: Docker, Kubernetes, and Salt Stack for service deployments; postgres and S3 for storage; and Prometheus, Kibana, and Grafana for analytics and monitoring. I primarily wrote Go and Rust.
  • I wore a number of hats as an engineer on the Workers team.
  • I maintained Wrangler (https://github.com/cloudflare/wrangler), the Workers Command Line Interface built in Rust.
  • I was a core engineer on Workers Sites (https://workers.cloudflare.com/sites/), Cloudflare's first site hosting solution built entirely on top of serverless technology.
  • I contributed to backend Workers services primarily written in Go and C++. My work in this space includes the design and implementation of new encryption at rest logic for Workers scripts.
  • Before joining the Workers team, I built Cloudflare features on top of the Workers platform, including AMP Real URL (https://blog.cloudflare.com/real-urls-for-amp-cached-content-using-cloudflare-workers/).
