• As a trainee in the VGE (Vastgoedexploitatie / Real Estate Management) department of the Municipality of Utrecht, I had the honour of performing my first Dutch-speaking role and gaining insight into the public facilities the Municipality offers its citizens.
• My focus was on increasing the visibility of community centres for the international target group, and my responsibilities included:
• Conducting research on the awareness of community centres (“Buurtcentra”) among internationals
• Presenting my findings and proposals to the management team and securing a budget to realise them
• Establishing contacts with relevant stakeholders
• Initiating a print-media campaign
• Co-organising the opening event for the newly renovated community centre Het Zand in Utrecht

• Our research team investigated why Careyn Utrecht struggled to attract Millennial nurses transitioning from internships or graduation into the workforce. Throughout the discovery and testing process, we uncovered several underlying factors and developed targeted recommendations.
• Key findings included:
• Insufficient internship onboarding, lowering the likelihood that interns would stay on as employees.
• Recruitment efforts that did not effectively reach Millennial students (e.g., limited school partnerships and minimal social-media-driven hiring).
• A significant gap between management and the work floor, negatively impacting retention.
• Tested solution prototypes and delivered final recommendations supported by a thorough problem analysis.
