• One was on Statistical Signal Processing, in which the main objective was Audio/Video Data Analysis and Compression. My area of contribution includes development of certain Statistical algorithms and their testing using statistical packages like S-PLUS. These algorithms were based on some sophisticated concepts of non-linear regression techniques and wavelets analysis of wave signals/Audio data.
• The Audio/Wave data is basically a time series data. The non-linear regression techniques to analyse this huge set of time series data are applied here. This also includes modeling of the data. The used methods are AR, ARMA, ARIMA etc. Some information theoretic criteria, namely AIC, BIC, Hannan-Quinn Criteria, were also used for data modeling. This also includes implementation of Prony's Algorithm, model selection through cross validation approach, parameter estimation of exponential signals through constrained EVLP method, modified Prony's algorithm.
