ASIC LIBRARY CHARACTERIZATION AND VALIDATION
I was responsible for development/support of ARM’s physical IP characterization and validation suite used by ARM’s engineers. Although I was working on the flow/automation aspect of the flow, I have a good understanding of standard cell/IO buffer characterization methodologies, liberty modeling and spice simulation. I have provided quick workarounds/tactical solutions to problems faced by production
engineers while using characterization flow.
I played a major role in deploying characterization jobs into external cloud (AWS). This was required because ARM's internal compute cluster was becoming a bottleneck.
TECHNOLOGY FILE CREATION FOR PHYSICAL DESIGN TOOLS
I was maintaining a tool to convert layout design rules described in the PDK to
technology files used by place and route tools. The PDK rules information entered by the
user was validated and expanded to produce technology file as required by physical
design tools ICC/SOCE. The application is developed using Eclipse Modeling Framework.

ASIC LIBRARY CHARACTERIZATION AND VALIDATION
I was part of library characterization team developing TI’s internal characterization tool (Turbochar) using TI’s internal spice engine TISpice. I was also part of IP model validation flow developing automated QA checks to ensure generated data is accurate.
PHYSICAL DESIGN LIBRARY MANAGEMENT
I was a part of TI’s Pyramid chip design flow. I maintained the library management tool used to create a unified design library database incorporating all IPs required in the design. The tool can also bring a FE models for a new IP into the design database or patch an existing IP with new release.
