I spent 7 years in the French Foreign Legion as a combat medic and armored vehicle driver. In 2022, still on active duty, I started teaching myself to code, 15–20 hours a week alongside active service. That background shapes how I think about production systems: reliability isn't abstract when you've operated in environments where failure has real consequences.
