• Hyperlink Web International was my first foray into stack-driven web development (PHP, MySQL, JavaScript). Hyperlink is a small, family-owned company in Boston, Massachusetts. I started work on Web 2.0 projects for them during my fourth year in college, following on to my master's -- we've definitely come a long way.
• It was with them that I first learned how to develop Wordpress & CodeIgniter sites and work on *nix systems. Kyle Kahveci of Boston startup fame has mentored me on matters that stretch beyond development: client etiquette, startup mentality, and strategising to name a few.
• Highlights:
• Led a remote team that developed My CE, a continuing education tracker app featured on the distinguished MassChallenge accelerator in Boston.
• Introduced a number of technical improvements to the team's workflow, including Git source control, CSS pre-processing, and usage of dynamic web pages over static pages.
• Set up custom, performance tuned web server stacks (Apache, NGINX) to meet tremendous growth in traffic following the Web 2.0 boom.
• Moved company from shared hosting to VPS & dedicated hosting.
• Introduced new methodologies to improve SEO rankings of websites.
• Introduced Wordpress rapid application development processes.
